Where the work has been

The storm at the end of December shifted where my attention went. Since then, days have been taken up with clearing, insurance paperwork, and the slow, physical work of putting things back in order.

I’ve been vlogging through this period rather than writing. Partly because it felt like the right medium, partly because words were harder to come by. I wanted to leave a note here to say the thread hasn’t been dropped, it’s just been carried differently for a while.

I’m sharing weekly vlogs that document this season as it unfolds: the work on the land, the decisions that come with it, and the ongoing reality of recovery. I’ll link one below that gives a sense of where things are at now.

Alongside that, I’ll be picking Substack up again, not to recap everything, but to hold the reflections that don’t always make it onto video.

I’ve also set up a Ko-fi space where I’m sharing replanting progress and updates as the land recovers. The first monograph is available there as well.
